A salary increase calculator converts the raise percentage into a multiplier, applies it to your current salary, and adds the resulting raise amount to show your new pay.

Formula

new salary = current salary + (increase % × current salary)

Use the same pay period for the starting amount and result. An annual salary produces an annual result, while monthly pay produces a monthly result.

Worked example

1. Start with a current salary of 50,000.
2. Divide 5 by 100 to get 0.05.
3. Multiply 50,000 by 0.05 to get an increase of 2,500.
